That milk and honey's just around the bend
Em                                           D
Running on bad lines - we'd better run as we go
     C               D            Em
Tear up, tear up the overdraft again.

Bm           D                A           C
Oh dear Prime Minister - it's all such a mess
   G               Em              Bm    Em
Go right ahead and pull the rotten tooth
Bm      D                      A           C
Oh Mr. President - you've been put to the test
     G                  Em              Bm    Em
Come clean for once and hit us with the truth.

Em                                                D
Looking for sunshine - oh but it's black and it's cold
        C                 D                      Em
Yet you say that milk and honey's just round the bend

Giving us a hard time, my friends

Handing us the same line again.

          Em                                  D
Fallen on hard times - and there's nowhere to hide
            C                D                   Em
Now they've re-possessed the Rolls Royce and the mink
Em                                               D
Turning on the peace sign - and it's back to the wood
C                  D              Em
Soon there will be raised an holy stink.

Bm        D                 A            C
Somebody wake me. I've been sleeping too long
    G               Em              Bm   Em
Oh, I don't have to take this lying down
Bm                D                  A            C
You can keep your promises. Shove'em where they belong
      G             Em                Bm    Em
Don't ask me to the party - won't be around.

Hi Paco,
You'r collection of Jethro Tull guitar tabs,is very good, and
very welcom. Thank You.
I've search for "Hard times" tabs. Over a long period of time,
but never find any. It's one of my favorit Tull-songs, so i decided
to try myself.I carefully tuned my guitar with help of my wife's
(more than 100 year old) piano, and started to play along with
the CD.It's only my second attempt to tab. anything,
but this is what i came up with.
